If anyone who is reading this blog will know one thing that I am a Arnold Schwarzenegger fan. I started lifting weights in my teenage. I was inspired after I read his Autobiography and Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding.
I was in college when a friend gave me his autobiography. Then i bought a copy for myself and I also bought two encyclopedias. One was the old version and also the new one which came out in late nineties. If you are looking for inspiration and don’t feel like working out, I would suggest listening to the video and make notes of things Arnold says in this video.
One thing that stuck in my mind when I read his encyclopedia is that anyone who wants to be successful should have a clear vision in their mind of achieving these goals. When our ‘why’ is clear and when we have a clear vision, we will stop asking stupid questions to ourselves and we won’t complain. We will give our best when we go to the gym. This is true for all the other things in life. When our thoughts, our visions are clear, we are bound to succeed.
I would suggest listening to video if you want inspiration. You should watch it without distraction and it is a 45 minute video which is full of wisdom.
We all need motivation and it is very important when we are losing weight. We need have to keep focus on our goals we need to make sure that we are on the right track.
Commitment is very important when we want to lose weight. I recently read somewhere that commitment is “Commitment is doing the thing you said you will do, long after the mood you said it in has left you” This is a very inspirational quote. Whoever made this quote must be a very successful person.
Only way we can get results is when we can get things done. We can get things when we are motivated. You can use this as a self motivator.
So whenever you feel like breaking your diet and you don’t want to go to the gym, just repeat this quote in your head and just do the right thing.
You don’t have to make a big commitment. You can take small steps to lose weight. Making big commitments is overwhelming for lot of people and it is also for me.
You can make small commitments like i will go for a walk or I will go for a jog for 15 minutes 3 times a week. You can scale this up when you get comfortable with 15 minutes.
But the key here is that you should stick to this commitment.
Just try this, remember the quote and make a small commitment. Whenever you don’t feel like doing what you committed, just repeat the quote in your mind and take action. It works for me and it should work for you also.
Don’t let excuses stop you from taking action.
Excuses are the obstacles we create ourselves whenever we want to achieve anything worth while in our life.
